Lexicon Lowers the Price On Its MC-12HDB Music and Cinema Processor

ELKHART, Indiana – Lexicon today announced that it has lowered the manufacturer’s suggested retail price on its MC-12HDB Music and Cinema Processor, the company’s top-of-the-line preamplifier/processor for high-end home theater and custom installation audio/video systems. The MC-12HDB is now available at $7,999 suggested retail, reduced from its previous $10,999 MSRP.

“The Lexicon MC-12HDB has established itself as an industry-standard surround-sound preamp/processor, and now, its extraordinary performance and flexibility are within the reach of a greater number of home cinema enthusiasts than ever before,” said Jim Garrett, Market Manager, HARMAN High Performance AV. “We are confident that listeners will find the MC-12HDB to be the best-sounding preamp/processor on the market at its new price point.”

The THX Ultra2-certified MC-12HDB is the ultimate home theater control center. It offers 7.2-channel surround-sound capability, and is compatible with all popular surround sound formats including Dolby® TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio™ via LPCM over HDMI™, to deliver high-resolution audio from Blu-ray players and other sources. The MC-12HDB has multiple HDMI inputs and an HDMI output, along with an extensive array of video and audio inputs and outputs including balanced audio connections.

The Lexicon MC-12HDB provides extensive multi-room flexibility, with three independent zones and 12 configurable inputs. Although highly sophisticated in its capabilities, the MC-12HDB is easy to set up and use, thanks to its exclusive, user interface that provides complete adjustability via intuitive on-screen menus.

Additional refinements include premium 24-bit/192kHz internal D/A converters operating in dual-differential mode; independent crossover, speaker distance and level controls for each of the main audio outputs; a broadcast-quality analog video switcher with upconversion to component video; NTSC, PAL and SECAM compatibility; automatic calibration of speaker output levels and distances (using the optional Lexicon microphone kit); an optional automatic digital room EQ system and many other high-end features.

The Lexicon MC-12HDB Music and Cinema Processor is currently available at authorized Lexicon retailers.
