HARMAN Luxury Audio Group Upgrades Its JBL Synthesis Eargle Theater Demonstration Facility In Northridge, California

NORTHRIDGE, California — The HARMAN Luxury Audio Group today announced that it has completed a major upgrade to its Eargle Theater demonstration facility in Northridge, California. The theater, named after legendary audio engineer John M. Eargle, features a complete, ultrahigh-end JBL Synthesis Everest multichannel home theater system based around the flagship JBL Project Everest DD66000 loudspeaker.

The loudspeakers in the Eargle Theater include three JBL Project Everest DD66000 left, center and right speakers, six JBL S4Ai THX Ultra2 surrounds and four JBL S1S-EX 18-inch THX Ultra2 subwoofers. The electronics in the system include a Mark Levinson™ No.502 media console/surround processor, seven bridged JBL Synthesis S820 (800-Watt x 1) amplifiers (for the L, C, R speakers and subwoofers), a JBL Synthesis 7 x 160-watt seven-channel amplifier (for the S4Ai) and a JBL Synthesis SDEC-4500 equalizer.

Rounding out the system is a Lumagen® Radiance XE-3D video processor, Digital Projection International (DPI) Titan 3D 3-chip DLP™ projector and a Screen Research 180” X-Mask screen. Integrated A/V control is provided by a Savant automation system. The room design, seating and acoustical treatment are by Acoustic Innovations.
